Windows Remote Desktop XP Pro SP3 stop resizing screen?

Is there any way to stop a Win XP Pro SP3 Remote Desktop session from resizing the desktop it's viewing and screwing up all the icons on the larger screen?
E.g. a 1024x768 netbook controlling a desktop with a native res of 1280x1024.
Obviously the netbook views the remote at 1024x768, and resizes the desktop on the remote session, but when returning to the desktop, although the resolution has remained set at 1280x1024 all the desktop icons have been rearranged to fit in the remote 1024x768 screen even after remote control has ended.
Both systems running XP Pro SP3.
Very annoying!

Hmmmm, off the top of my head all I can think of is a little script I found that saves and restores the desktop icon locations.

Looks like the one I used, but virus scan it before you open it.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
