Credit card cheques to be banned

The bigger problem is credit card companies constantly raising your credit limit every 6-12 months. If I want to raise my limit, I'll ask - inbstead they put it up to encourage me to get into more debt with them. I usually just call them and ask to put it back down to where it was.
That's weird. Why don't you just leave them as you are and not spend? What a waste of a phone call.0 -
good news, with MBNA/virgin/a&l I keep getting cheques sent to me which I dont request.0

About time too. These things were just wrong on so many levels.
They encouraged you to spend (outside of the protection a credit card purchase would give you) and they were at risk of being intercepted by fraudsters.
It's worse than that..............
They were actually ISSUED by fraudsters."The problem with quotes on the internet is that you never know whether they are genuine or not" -
