Nokia N95 8GB -v- pool

Less than 20 seconds in a celebrities pool, in my back pocket. Brand new uninsured NOKIA went FIZZZZ and despite being dry now..... nothing. What do I do. Any ideas.

what do you mean by fizz exactly?

as for it being dry, what have you done to dry it

all it takes is a minuscule droplet of water to short circuit a circuit board and render a phone useless

if you want to save your phone put it in a bag of rice(larger grains do better in my experience) and leave it in a war/hot DRY place for up to a week

if its not working by a week id call it un salvageable

i would make a last ditch attempt and borrow a battery however to see if that solves it.
    Back by no demand whatsoever.

I'd add to that advice by saying *do not* be tempted to turn it on during the week. Don't leave it in a HOT place, let it dry out slowly under normal atmospheric conditions in the rice - no airing cupboards, direct sun, radiators etc.

Some airtime providers (I know Orange do this) if you phone up will allow you to take out the phone insurance and then claim on it providing you commit to it for 12 months a friends partner pushed him in the pool and he grabbed her to stop himself falling in and she had a very expensive brand new phone in her pocket which went pfffht one call to Orange and they sorted it all out, may be worth a punt
