Capital One Sub-Prime...Replacement is Platinum

Good Evening All,
I have had a sub-prime Cap One card for a number of years with a limit of £200.00. This has never increased despite a good payment record (bad credit elsewhere though). I asked for a replacement card as mine had started to split from being in my wallet and back pocket all the time.
They kindly sent me another which arrived today. It has the same limit (which it should as it's just a replacement) but immediately I noticed it's a different colour. Its black with a purple pattern on the background. In the top right hand corner, its states the word Platinum!!
Could this be an error or have a just got lucky (I daren't call them to check in case they want it back!!) I checked there website and it seems that only people with excellent credit should be receiving this card....

Precisely my point. It does state platinum and is an exact copy of the Platinum Card on their website. I mean at the end of the day, I still have only a small small limit but maybe they have dropped my interest rate to that of the Platinum Card???? instead of the high 'rebuilder' rate I have always paid...0 -

Capital One would not just drop the interest like that. I have been with them since March 03, and have only dropped about 10% in APR since that time, but I have never had a VISA card with them, it was always a MASTERCARD, and after my card was used fraudulently on the internet two weeks ago, they sent me the replacement card, and it was still Mastercard, and the same card is meant for those with excellent credit history, as the Credit Builder Card is VISA only, so who knows how they work, all I know is, when your statement comes, I think you will find the word Platinum has nothing to do with the interest rate your on, merely the card design it may well portray, so how you view your lucky streak is open to interpretation.
All I know is, I am pretty miffed that I lost my Wild Tiger Card that I had with them, and now have some rather odd grey looking thing with pebbles running through it, not that nice at all really, but it still works.0 -

Guess we'll see about the interest when my next statement comes. My old card was grey with 'lightning' on it and also a Mastercard.0 -
