Thank you both (and PAP;)), I had a lovely night - some yummy food and chat! Spent about a tenner all in so not bad at all:money:... although they have decided they need to find me a man....yawn...I don't think any of them know Michael Bubles number anyway:p.

Beanie, I don't think I'll be able to come to Edinburgh, would like to but have DS that weekend and he's got something special on that requires faffing about in Glasgow that weekend so can't ask my folks to do it and friends all have kids with their own schedules. Will raise a glass to you all in spirit:beer:! Mind you if he finishes earliesh I might be able to drag him over on the train... will need to wait till later to find out details though. would be interesting explaining it to him..."you know how I tell you never to arrange to meet folk over the net? Guess where we are going:o...."

Glad you had a good night out - and not expensive too!

Thanks Hypno, they were bemoaning my lack of dates though and although I go out a couple of times a month with them or other friends it's generally a night at each others homes with a takeaway and wine or cinema/theatre. So they reckoned I should go with t'internet dating...the idea of paying money to meet weirdos just didn't appeal to me - just hope they don't do it for me:o...

Have been into town and got lovely fluffy boot slipper things for friend's DD and SD, fleecy pjs for DS and fluffy slipperette things for me all for less than £14 - bargain! currently sitting with fleecy blanky around me as it's cold and I'm feeling a bit pants.

I think I'm just cold and tired Meyore, someone delivered the freebie local mag about 7am this morning and rather noisily:mad:! have lit some tea lights so the place is looking cosier even if it's not really...
in ad in local mag... I kid you not - "dine in a posh restaurant for a memorable christmas".... whoever sold that tag line to the local chinese deserves either shooting or a medal:rotfl::rotfl:!

I know the tired feeling... DH let the dog sleep on the bed and at 5 I was woken up by them doing synchronised snoring! I think the tag line does sound a bit dodgy  You're not up for it then?! :rotfl:
