Don't have a tumble dryer and I'm soooo sick of the place having washing hanging every where that I looked at buying one of those heated airers from Lakeland yesterday to say the reviews are mixed is the understatement of the year! so have decided £80 for something that MIGHT work is just not worth it...
Skinty I bought one of those last winter, it has paid for itself with the electricity I would have used with the tumble drier. I would say it dries things in about 1/2 of the time of a non heated airer and it holds around 2 loads of washing on it at a time. I love mine, one of the best things I have bought.
An added bonus is that it heats the room up a bit too:D
ETA there is a bit of a knack to get the optimum drying, I put the heavier stuff on the top rungs like jeans then they get the added heat of the lower 2 rungs also. Bottom rung I use for smalls. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Thanks for that Lou, might have another look then...had just talked myself out of it on account of IT'S SPENDING MONEY!!!! see - I'm getting strict today!
The bedding actually all dried outside today all apart from DS's fitted sheet which is currently hanging over my radiator.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
