So it took you 5 kilometers AKA a bit over 3 miles to realise you were being followed by a bloke in a pink wig and a tutu?

    Situational awareness: Poor... :rotfl:

    Guilty as charged:D

Did you enjoy it? When's the next one?

Twas nice apart from not feeling too well at the start but fine after a few miles, nothing else entered but I think there's another local one in June - not doing the big city races this year.

You'd be proud of me Skinty.

Today I went along to my local Park Run to volunteer my services, so next week I'll probably be wearing an orange tabbard and saying encouraging things like 'Well done' 'Keep going' and 'You don't sweat much for a fat lass'.

I then went and spent £86 on a pair of trainers :eek::eek: ready for a fortnight or three weeks later when I shall be running (after a weekend beer trip and probably a weekend working a cider bar). I'm sure I'll be in peak condition.

First run for a while tomorrow, on the beach, my fave location.
Don't think there'll be any men in tutu's tomorrow (I shall keep my eyes peeled for any creeping up behind me). I saw a man in a basque once but he wasn't wearing anything else so I was focused fairly heavily on the basque and his face!

Didn't someone say you were sarcastic? You? No! How could people importune so vehemently on your character?

Comfortably supporting is a better phrase...

Well done Butti but are there diamonds on the soles of those shoes:eek:? I haven't been to park run since petrol shot up (nearest is about 30miles away), there's talk of one starting more locally so maybe then, I'm sure all that beer and cider will set you up nicely for it:rotfl::rotfl:.

Do you think so Skinty? (Do you mind me calling you Skinty, would you rather I called you Spicy? Just a thought that has occured.) I think my beer and cider is adding bulk to my !!!! and thighs and they don't really need any help - they are already bulked up enough! (The editor strikes again - that would be my a**e)

It was raining today for Park Run and still 250 people turned up. So people really are mad! Met some people who go running on Wednesday round a local lake (and admire the view of abandoned cars and prams probably!) so may be doing that this Wednesday.

I suspect for the moment Z I will be distracted from the pain in my legs by the pain in my wallet. Still, shouty man hasn't paid me for working second week on the cider bar so when that comes in I may be able to dig a hole in my HSBC visa balance. Isn't life fun?!!!!

Time for another coffee methinks. Looking forward to seeing you again, Skinty, next month

Skinty is fine with me Butti. What did they let you do at Parkrun? were you shouting "this way" and pointing?

are the shoes comfy? hope that awful man pays you soon too.

not sure I'll be there next month, did book a room but I'm thinking as an unemployed poor person I should maybe save my pennies now... still undecided though so maybe...

Actually, we should be using the name "Spicy". To be encouraging...

    It is a valid one.

You should watch people going for runs at dinnertime. They look like they've just returned from a 200 mile desert crawl...

Do tell me if you're not going so I can ....have a good cry......work up to getting excited about seeing someone else. That may take some time as some people are cheesing me off big time at the mo! (No pressure :rotfl:)

The shoes are good for running in, but not as good as my New Balance, which are made in Cumbria, which made me feel good about buying them. These one's are made in America.

I just stood at Park Run and smiled and clapped occasionally and got wet....and marvelled at how fast the guys at the front are.......and how the ratio of men to women seems to be about 10:1 ;)

ooo me too, I'm wondering if it's a permanent state of affairs and I'm becoming a cantankerous old mare or if my mood shall improve soon :o

My preferences are based on whatever is relatively cheap at the time although Asics are pretty good and always seem to be in the Sports for cheap shop.

"Some" people. I can only think of two usual suspects.

And you mostly only see the back of them...
