I put the cable in and the picture came through ok but not the sound.

You put the sound cable in and the sound will come out.
Laptop much smaller than tv and when watching on that you can't do other stuff on laptop;)

Is this that "multitasking woman" thing?
I managed to get an old flame flustered at the gym yesterday - he couldn't manage to put a bottle down, it seemed to be wobbling everywhere,

Usually TV out from a laptop is a S-Video output. Which is video. You also (usually) need a 3.5mm jack to get the sound out too.

Unless you're watching a silent film and have an allergy to pianos...

I find the ironing to be more interesting that the TV at times...

Nothing wrong with glasses, and don't they mist models to give them that alluring look?

Well as some of you already know from FB - blokey is no more, well he's not dead but if looks could kill he would be:(. Friend is coming over later to listen to me "rant or weep" so once that's done hopefully there will be a few laughs too. I'm sad but not devastated, I'll cope. Still have overwhelming desire to run all the time, wondering if it's phsycological and me wanting to run away from my problems:think:.

It's good that you have a friend's shoulder to cry on.

When MPs' wives are considered celebrities, then that sound you can hear is the bottom of the barrel being scraped through.

Actually there was no crying, she did agree there was no excuse for his behavour but said maybe there's something else going on I don't know. Not him seeing someone else but fear of committment or getting too close or something, anyhow both agreed he's a knob! Lots of laughter and catching up so it was just what I needed:cool:.

Re the running, it is valuable head clearing time, whether that head clearing is needed as a result of a tough day at work, trying to have an hour without thinking of the bills/kids/shopping that needs doing or to take an hour out of relationships/where am I heading/!!!!!! stuff.

You run because it is good for you - for that hour or so you are out there, you are bringing yourself back into balance. You are not running away from anything, you are creating a bit of headspace in order to sort out the things that need sorting out later on.

So don't stop running. Don't get obsessed with it, that is when it gets negative. But at this point in time, it is very positive, so embrace it!

    Whole new level:(.

Oh dear. He certainly doesn't appreciate the finer things in life.
was all dressed up on friday and didn't even get a "you look nice" from him... did from others so it was ok but still...

You've already identified the root cause of that problem: He's a knob. It was not due to a lack of babe-ness on your part, as other non-knob people where only too eager to recognise.

Did that bloke recognise you with your clothes on?
Actually there was no crying, she did agree there was no excuse for his behavour but said maybe there's something else going on I don't know. Not him seeing someone else but fear of committment or getting too close or something, anyhow both agreed he's a knob!

Yes indeedy. Diagnosis: Knob. You could almost get a daytime TV series out of that...
Lots of laughter and catching up so it was just what I needed:cool:.

    :T

And lashings of gossip and scandal! ;)
