PAYPAL - buyers obsolete addresses showing as current and verified

Hi there,
I've had quite a number of ebay transactions recently where goods have been mailed out to what appears to be a buyers' current and verified address but which later transpires to be obsolete (ie an old address).
It's happened about 4 or 5 times over the last six weeks. On a couple of occasions the packages have been returned to me (from overseas) and another time the buyer was able to retrieve their item from their old address. On the other couple of ocassions I've just taken the hit and mailed out replacement items to the (un) verified addresses which buyers email me with.
Has anyone else experienced this? Most frustrating!

Not quite, but I posted recently about a US buyer who emailed me several hours after paying asking when I was ging to pst his item. As an afterthought he asked what address I was going to use. Lol. Buyers aye!?! I think the most frustrating thing is trying to get through to PayPal - I've attepted to a couple of times over the last 10 days and both times ended up hanging up after waiting for 15 mins. Grrrrrrrr!
