Redundancy money

Hi
Am currently 'at risk' - there are 8 of us, 4 stay, 4 go. I currently work in admin
I have applied to go via voluntary redundancy, in fact I would beg if I needed to lol! I hate it!
I plan to clear my debt (debt free at last!!) then with what is remaining I would like to revisit the orphanage I visited last year in Tanzania, then come back with a fresh mind and get a new job.
Given the current climate, realisitically how many months worth of money do you think I should keep aside for the job hunting period? I have nothing to pay out (aside from a bit of rent) as I live with my parents. I would love a career change but would take a similar role as my current one to keep me going.

Depends on your job and how specialised it is.
If you're a shelf stacker, 1 week. If you're the PM, I'd maybe cover yourself for a year or 2...0 -
I'm an administrator/PA to senior managers in a call centre. I want to get into something different but would take a similiar job for nowOU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0
