ok well i bought some heels for a night out... wore them on sunday for the 1st time withing 20mins of ariving to the pub, the heel on the left shoe started coming away, obviously i cannot have a night out with a broken shoe heel, so i ordered a taxi (buses irregular and even if i had caught the bus would b a 15min walk up hill to get home) got back 2 my bfs changed my shoes and went back to the pub.
my question is... when i return the goods, will i be able to get a refund? (i have the receipt still)
and also will i be able to be reimbursed for the taxi fare i had to pay due to the heel breaking? (i have the reciept from the taxi)

you are indeed entitled to a refund

they may want to send them away to be examined, if so let them do this as they have a right to do so.

as for claiming costs, i dont think there isnt anything set in stone about reclaiming your costs as they dont know if you got the taxi back because of the shoes or not do they? also they may think a taxi is ott for what you were doing.

so yeh you can ask, if they refuse, write a letter to the store and hq politely asking but thats all you can do really as far as i am aware

ok cool on the reciept for taxi it states from where i went to bfs address and back lol. thing is busses only every hour and would mean 2 buses then a 15min walk uphill just to get bk 2 bfs lol so taxi was only option

yeh i know but the company wont really care which is terrible, they will take the stance that you made the choice to incur further costs to yourself by taking a taxi.
