Reclaiming Credit Card Charges When On A DMP?

I am currently 14 months into a debt management plan with Payplan and have agreements in place with my creditors to pay back a small set amount each month. I have worked out I have about £2800 of unfair charges over six credit cards. If I try and claim back the money how will this affect by DMP and the payment agreements that I have in place? The majority of the money that I would get back would be used as money for repaying the six creditors.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I would expect that the balances on your credit cards will substantially reduce as they would be used to clear any amounts outstanding. Does the amount clear everything?
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

  • The total amount from all the charges would pay off one of the credit cards but not all. I had intended to split it proportionately depending on the size of each debt.
