I'm looknig for a storage device that I can hook up to a BT Homehub so that I can easily store files to it and use it from any PC/laptop in the house.
Size isn't really important, minimum of 100gb, can anyone recommend one please?

Have you considered using the USB port on the rear of the device? Theoretically you can attach almost anything to it. Something like this, for example.
Alternatively, you can get one of these for just a few pounds more.

I use a QNAP TS109, which is one of their earlier, lower level models. I use it to stream my music collection wirelessly throughout the house. It's low in memory and chip speed, but does everything I need.
First, consider what you want. If you just want to share files, then plugging a USB drive into your Homehub will suffice. Be warned though that there are some reports of power overloads. See http://www.frequencycast.co.uk/homehubfaq.html#usb for a discussion of what you can do with a homehub. I've euccessfully shared a USB drive and a USB printer in this manner, although they are _rather_slow_
If you want a proper NAS with decent performance, music streaming, remote file access, FTP, web server etc, then QNAP (on the newer v3 firmware) and the Linksys NAS range are very good for the money.te audire non possum. musa sapientum fixa est in aure.0 -
Dont also forget with using that USB port is that a lot of these drives arent designed to be always powered up which they will be if you leave them plugged in and plugging and unplugging is just a PITA.
I have a Buffalo NAS and very handy it is too and also features USB ports for adding more drives if you want to or flash drives or even using it as a print server.0
