Picasa question

does anyone know how i can copy and paste text onto pictures i have in picasa, or is there some other free programme i could do it on, thanks

On Picasa3,

>clic on the picture you want to add text to,

>picture appears larger and on the left hand side BASIC FIXES apears.

>clic on the TEXT button

>your pic then shows the words "type text anywhere".

In fact prior to that, you select the typeface/font you want from the scroll down menu and also the size. If memory serves me right, you may even get a choice of colour, but without going back to double check, I may be wrong.

You can also move it round so that the text appears wherever you want.

As an aside, I have just transferred several hundred wedding photo's and using this basic fixes page, ie cropping, I am able to improve them a great deal. Just in case you don't know, before you start making changes to any of them, if you clic on FILE, at the top left, then scroll down to SAVE A COPY, the saved copy appears last in that particular collection and you can mess about with that and not loose your original.
