ebuyer have a great £79.99 price on a Samsung 1.5TB SATA-II drive, trouble is the drive runs at 5400rpm and has poor seek times meaning it isn't ideal for RAID.

Ideally I'm looking for four drives to stuff a RAID system. I'd like 7200rpm with 1.0 or 1.5TB. For the smaller drive my target price is around £50.
Any suggestions on suppliers with great prices at the moment? Quidco would be a nice bonus

£50 will be very lucky to get a 1tb drive - at the moment (from memory) the Samsung "eco drive" (5400) drives are about £55-60, and for a faster drive (7200rpm) you're looking at about £6-75 for a 1tb model.
I bought 3x Seagate 12 series 1tb drives the other week for £65 each, and a pair of Samsung Eco drive 1tb's for £60 each.
The Seagates are about 25% faster from what I can tell, but run warmer than the Samsungs (due in large part to the speed difference).
Other options are Western Digital Black drives which are fast and have 5 year warrantes, but cost £70ish each.0 -
Not sure you'll get anything decent (if at all) in that budget, but I'd try https://www.scan.co.uk0
