Hi guys!
I've escaped from my usual thread corner to bring this information.:D
I'm hoping that this will be helpful to people with older children or young adults, such as Uni students, who are able to travel to the West End without too much trouble.
Just to say, I don't know this project personally as my DS has only just joined and I have nothing to do with it.
Mousetrap Theatre Projects are running two programmes:
- C145 (for 15 to 18 year olds - see a show for £5) and
- WestEnd 4 £10 (19 to 23s - see a show for £10).
My DS falls into the latter category and is studying in London.
Certain productions are selected by Mousetrap and then certain performances are offered at a highly discount rate - i.e. - 19-23 year olds can see a show for just £10! (WestEnd 4 £10)
This is an initiative to bring young people who may not otherwise be able to, to see a London Theatre show. You do have to register for these programmes, but this is free. They also offer assistance to special needs schools and families on very low incomes.
A couple of important points here guys:
- as with anything these days, there are a limited number of tickets available so when you get notified by email, jump to it - first come, first served!
- if you express an interest/reservation and don't use/confirm it, you will be removed from the list and not be allowed to participate again.
NB. Please check the details on these points before you sign up.

The next show in this programme is ''Hamlet'' at the Wyndhams
I will also post this on the Students board and sincere apologies if anyone has already posted on this - I did check but couldn't find any reference.
Anyhoo, that's your lot! Hoping someone will get to enjoy the benefits this charitable scheme.
Much Love,

At the heart of our work is the desire to open doors to young people who would otherwise consider the world of theatre closed to them.
Whether you are a teacher, youth group leader, community worker or young person, there is sure to be a way for you to get involved in our programmes.
