Yeah, I really do. Sometimes it just sucks being so far away from your friends and family (and it really is pretty much on the opposite side of the world!).
But then again, I'm sitting here in paris thanks to my work and I wouldn't have got that if I'd stayed at home. So there are perks
Hope you enjoy your five days of celebrating

Well, we all have to start somewhere again...so, if it doesn't work out (but I really hope it does of course!) try to think of it as practice.....and the next interview I am sure will be better. But, anyway, as I say, I hope this one works out.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Had a night out yesterday (first time in a century or so  ) and ended up spending about £10 on drinks. Thing is, went to my mates house before and had some red wine, then drank more wine at the bar and then drank beer.. _pale_ God, I'm such a lightweight, got home and had a puke-fest. Repeat performance this morning too. Had to take DD to Dr as she had ear infection and I could just about walk down the road!!:o Anyway..., spent £5.40 in the chemist on cough medicine and eno for me, then £2.50 in the bakery for the kids. I'm never drinking red wine again!!!

Happy birthday Looking Ahead!
:rotfl: Sorry I shouldn't laugh but I know all about that feeling bad after drinking when you haven't been out for ages! You do feel such a lighweight...well I do anyway when I think back to how I used to be! A heavyweight social drinker (tut!!).
Ah well, I can do without the hangovers these days...and the weighty overdraft to match. Oh hang on...still got that :eek:Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Imelda wrote:Batfink- hope your day gets better, I had a bad one yesterday but resisted the temptation to spend, I feel 10x better today purely because I can mark down £0 in my spending diary. You can do it!!
Thanks Imelda
In the end I managed to resist the urge and have spent nothing. Top banana

I spent £1.39 in sainsbury's for a dozen eggs and some broccalli needed for dinner tonight. have really over spent on the food budget this week. Must do better next week.

AND I had a disasterous day yesturday having to shell out £35 for new lenses for my glasses. That's with the NHS voucher!! and just the lenses I'm keeping the same frames because I can't afford to change them. £35 (would have been £90 without the voucher) for two tiny peices of glass what has the world come to :rolleyes:Current Mortgage - £156,633:eek:Expecting baby no. one on 27th Oct 20100 -
