Called them up yesterday to cancel my card. Just had a phone call off them offering me 3.9% for 6 months with a 2% fee. I said it was no good to me as the only balance I wanted to transfer was an HSBC card but she was only too happy to let me transfer that over.
Thank you nice lady at M&S.

Yup yup. Brings my average rate of interest down to 4.89% over 5 cards. Can also give my credit file a breather too before I apply for anything else.
I remember talk of M&S pulling out of balance transfers on this board a few weeks ago but seems they will still do it for some people which is why I posted this.0 -
Good to know - its always good as some of these not proper banks can be a nightmare to deal with!0

Unfortunately I wasn't one of those people.I phoned them to ask if they had any balance transfer deals and they said no. So I thought it might be an idea to transfer a balance from a much higher interest card to my card at the going rate of 17% and they wouldn't even do that! I closed the account as I want no more credit card debt and so the card was no use to me.

funny you should post this, was just going to post if anyone had ever got an extension on their 0%.
My M&S 0% is coming to an end and if they don't I will go to Tesco for their 0% (tbc).
Just wondered if anyone had ever negotiated on 0%. I pay off balance every month. Not sure if that is good or bad?!:DAlways on the hunt for a bargain.0
