Claiming interest

Is it even worth bothering given that individual cases are now not likely to go to court?

Yep it certainly is.....it's in the waiver that should banks lose that they should pay out an amount including a compensatory amount

Sweet. NatWest owe me £800 in interest alone, I'm sure you'll be glad to know.

Remember it must be interest on the charges and not just interest charges if you have an overdraft(for example, say you have £800 overdraft and you use it then it is legitimate to charge you interest, however where part of the interest is charges then you can claim back interest).

    Excellent, thanks.

It's been a while since I did this (got all my money back from Egg and MBNA a couple of years ago) so remind me - do you send an itemised list of the charges you're reclaiming or just a letter saying "I want x amount"?

if you can send an itemised list all the better - you'll need one to work out the 8% per annum interest anyway :)

Yeah I've already filled in the interest calculator thing off this site, just wasn't sure whether to send it to the bank or not.
