What is the difference between visa card and mastercard?

    In what way do you mean,size of card ,pin numbers,acceptance at the local shops or use further afield europe/Asia,customer service,credit limits,or card options,or corporate image.?
    Have a look at thier web pages and get a feel of what you want and then come back and post again.

    They are like Coca Cola and Pepsi - both are pretty much sold everywhere, and there isn't a great deal of difference. The is some alligence to either brand, but most people aren't fussed either way.

    Amex is the Virgin Cola. It's almost as good but hardly anywhere accepts it...

    Came across this explanation of MasterCard and Visa hope this helps was also told once that visa is cheaper to use in the USA

    The ownership structures of Visa and MasterCard are slightly different, but to the end user, they are just two different companies which facilitate the payment of money. For the end user, they pretty much do the same thing and are pretty much as widely accepted as each other.

    OK i must admit that i am Illiterate when it come money/CC issues but i was not looking for such a sarcastic comments. Thankyou.
