Today, Nottingham Building Society will launch a new Postal Access 50 account with a minimum investment of £1 and a max of £250k. It will pay 3.15% interest which includes a 0.90% bonus for the first year. On the downside it requires notice of 50 days in order to make a withdrawal.

Also just noticed you can't transfer from an account you already hold with them - it has to be 'new' money.

Surely Leeds BS paying 0.10% less with easy access is a better bet.

I'd say Birmingham Midshires at 3.15% was better than either!
