Spark Energy

I have been having problems with Spark energy for 2 years. They never sent me a bill for over a year and when they did it was way out and estimated even though I had been sending them readings every month. They have now let me swap to another company but I still owe them money. I managed to get though on the phone once and the guy said they have had lots of problems going to new computer system and then they did not put all the accounts on. He told me its a complete mess. He said he would try and send a new bill as he had seen all the readings but he could not promise as no one knows how to do it! That was four months ago, Still noting. Does any one know if I have to pay the bill if they won't ask for the money? Its been outstanding for a year now.
