Today I'm going to be pampered to within and inch of my life at the beauticians down the road.

Don't worry though it's my birthday so my very very generous best mate is paying.

I'd normally get a babysitter and go out for drinks and dinner for my bday but me and hubby are getting a bottle of wine and cooking some nice fish and salad - saving approximately £100.

I'm also going to sort out my signature on here lol - me and technology do not get on well.

    Have a good one people

    Morning all :j

Nice to see this thread 'busy' again - it got a bit quiet for a while

Ended up being not very MS yesterday as I bought some new clothes for my new job, where I will need to look tidier than for the present one (I don't often buy clothes in all fairness) oh, and a new car

My old one is about 11 years old and has been round the clock, and I have been thinking about changing it for a while (and had saved up for it, so not a totally unplanned purchase!) It had to go in to the garage yesterday and they told me the clutch was on its way out, and it would cost £silly to fix  - basically more than the car is worth. It has been adjusted so is ok for now, but went and looked at the car showroom where I originally bought it and they offered me £1k plus the garage bill I had just paid as a trade in, which is loads more than it is worth, on a 2 year old, low milage one that I liked, with 1 year warranty thrown in. So it was too good an offer to refuse - apparently it was a particularly generous offer because it was the end of the month . Don't know why but might be worth others bearing in mind?

So, I get my 'new' car tomorrow :j Must ring the insurance people as one of my tasks for today!

Apart from that I have / will:

Do lots of work - counting down the days now till I finish current job :T

Checked online banking, sorted out 'accounts' for the month and made overpayment on mortgage :T

£21.00 from Quidco is winging its way to my account, also £8 from survey site :T

    See to plants and animals

Packed lunch to work and HM meals from stores

Freeze the braod beans that I didn't get around to yesterday because of being too excited about new car :o

Have a nice day everyone :hello:

Well it's the 1st of July! So day 1 of my 15 NSD challenge and I *should* make it ;) I've just discovered that the director gets their coffee free at rehearsals, so I'll save 20p tonight :rotfl::rotfl:

    So today I have/will:
    • brought in packed lunch (eating our way through the freezer contents because of all these power cuts ) meatballs and bread roll today :j
    • supper from the defrosted freezeer contents ;)
    • scratch'n'click
    • should be a NSD today, or at the most 20p :rotfl:
    • watch out for Mystery Shops
    • Start organising DD & myself to do a Boot Fair........
Without electricity at home for much of the time I'm there, must mean that I'm saving money? :rotfl:

Have a great day everybody :A

    • phone mortgage company solicitor to find out if proposal accepted
    • phone mortgage company too just to try and cover bases
    • half day from work to sort out house and have a wee nap
    • buy mobile voucher
    • file away some paper work and do some debt reply letters using new cccs info
    • scratch and click
    • check for freebie cinema tix - not been for ages and really need a night out
    • try to work really hard at work and not be distracted over looming reposession (easier said than done this week)
    • walk with doggie for excersise and stress relief

Think thats about it. DD went on school trip to Alton Towers last night at midnight and should be home about same time tonight. Looking forward to seeing her as we left on a bad note after I threw a strop over her being embarrassed to walk to the bus with me. its like SO uncool!! :o

Aside from that, desperate to sort out some big stuff today.
