When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D

Good morning lovely DFW's. Yet another stiflingly hot day , the sun is out already here. Not much exciting happening here today.

  • check online banking
  • update spreadsheets
  • quidco money due into my account £20.64
  • coffee morning with oldies this morning - free bacon butty
  • cooking tea for oldies tonight - free tea
  • laundry hokey cokey
  • take one of oldies to b&q while I pick something up (10% discount day)
  • check and water all veggies
  • sparkle
Have a lovely day everyone, welcome to any new posters and hi to all the regulars xxx

    morning everyone!

    Today I have/will

    - check the bank
    - organise more of the flat ready for the cheap decorating spree next week
    - dream about the day when I will have a job I want to go to (dreaming is still free, right?)
    - use my gym membership.

I'm not sure what else yet. I'm sure there will be more though.

I hope you are all well and happy.

Yeah... me :( I thought they might love me again after three solid weeks of 10p scratchies but no.

Haven't posted on here for a while so thought I should come back again :) Keep me being good.

    Listy. Today I have/will:
    • Checked bank... all as expected.
    • Checked Quidco... promise myself that the small fortune of 94p I'm expecting from them isn't going to change my life in any way this month :rotfl:
    • Charge everything up at work... I have a charger drawer and a four-plug extension all to myself.
    • Storecupboard meals. Brought dinner into work and it's leftovers for tea.
    • Keep an eye on the freebies board... particularly for cinema tickets and Boots testers. Did very well out of both last month.
    • Scratchy... surprise surprise - 10p
    • Check survey sites... ordered a Toluna voucher. Will do surveys as they come in.
    • Put lottery on tonight for lottery diary Valued Opinions thing.
    • Work... or at least try to in this toasty weather.
    Have a good day everyone!
