Mooloo, have you tried feeding the relevant details into the site at www.entitledto.org.uk ?

I have had a play on here, and put in what I think I will have coming in. I have put that DS will be earning less then £120 (not sure what he is earning but I doubt it will be much). This gives me a figure that I will have to find £2.30 of my council tax and £7.40 of the rent a week. So I think DS could stump up a £10 towards those things.
thanks nykmedia, it has given me a lot more peace of mind then I had earlier. I was scared bunny in the lights.
I will still have only £89.80 a week to live on. If the council tax and housing benefit are not part of the spending, and DS gives me the £10. :T

    Congratulations Whitewings, all the best.

Mooloo, you are allowed to earn up to £92.00 per week before losing ESA, so that you can build back up to working gradually if that helps. Do you qualify for Disability Living Allowance - that would be paid whether you work or not, and apparently doesnt affect other benefits. Good luck with sorting it out.

    Mooloo,
Why don't you go to one of these welfare rights centres/law centres which are similar to citizen's advice. There should be one in your town. They usually have an officer who knows exactly what you are entitled to. I took my MIL to one after she became ill and she got some benefits she didn't even know about and I know that my aunt goes to a law centre as she is on benefits as well (she suffers from a long term illness).

I know that my aunt swears by the guy she goes to and he has actually told her that the government can actually make it difficult to inform people as to what they are actually entitled to. So I think it might be worth a visit, nothing ventured and all that.;)

I have been trying (not hard enough I suppose) to get Welfare Rights help. The phone is either not anwered for hours upon end. Or a message says they are not working. But I should try a lot more I suppose.
I have just been looking at lots of old threads about making Logs. I dont actually get news papers, but lots of junk mail and old envelopes. I think I am going to try the one that uses an old loaf tin, and some weights on top. i.e. tins???
The greenhouse is a good place to try drying them, and the landlord said I can use the shed thats attached to thier building. So I think I will have another project to add to everything else!. Will I ever get organised enough to do all of these brilliant ideas.?
I will look at what jobs are in the nearest town. I keep looking at running Charity shops, again, but BF is right, I am not fit enough, I need to look for somethingelse.

Nothing is worth jeopardising your health Mooloo, BF is right.

When I was given the DLA forms, I was told to complete them using the worst case scenario, IE what you are like on your worst day. And if you are declined - appeal. It would seem that getting approved for this is more about persistence than disability!
