CW the bottle will balloon a bit but I have never had one break yet and I have been freezing milk for a few years. Just make sure they are the bottles with the seals inside the lids. I get some cheap ones from an asian shop but they only have the plastic lid,no seal so they have to be frozen standing.

That thread is indeed amazing, and the OP also managed to clear over £16,000 of debt in 250 days - now that's what I call inspiring! :T Will be reading her threads when I get a chance...

BB, 'persistent' and 'incurable', is that like 'determined', 'stubborn', 'idealistic', 'head in the clouds', 'delusional'...:rotfl:You know I'm only pursuing it so you have somewhere lovely to come and stay ;)

Hi Cheryl - another vote for freezing milk in plastic bottles, I often cram them in anyway I can and they've never split or tasted strange afterwards.

What about powdered skimmed milk though? I must confess, I'm not much of a milk drinker and so don't know if it's anything like the real McCoy.

DS won't entertain the dried milk - but I have some in as emergency back up (and for my bread machine)

  • sft -you haven't been going off topic - it's all frugal living related:D. And to be honest, I love your regular posts and am going to miss you lots while you are away.

What a lovely thing to say BB! Hopefully we will beable to get a wireless connection and drop in from time to time. I'll be back before you know it.
As for Bails, I know you are so close. How I see it is she's like a little butterfly we have to set free, just for a little while..you can tell in her posts that she's a free spirit! :A
(Into my butterflies at the mo-the budleia bush directly outside our cottage window is a bit overgrown but we had 9 peacocks, 4 painted ladies, 2 commas and 3 large whites on it this morning!) Mr SFT is very jealous of your OH's dragonfly course by the way-he is very interested in anything related on our walks).
Cracking forum this week-certainly lots rang true for me!
As for the wedding, what an achievement! I bet you'll enjoy it even more for being so money savy.

Bails-Feel honoured to share same priorities as you! :T. Your OH sounds lovely and completely on your wave length.

Nyk-Just want to say have an amazing wedding!

cw-I also freeze milk-no problems from it. Hope DD/GD feel better soon.

On the packing front-I'm now going through the dilemna of evening dress and whether I can be bothered? Do need to take some long sleeved stuff to keep mosquitos at bay.

    sft

Not at all, it's wonderful to have true friends on here with similar goals and dreams :iloveyou: My OH is gorgeous, bless him, I am one very lucky woman! :D

Ooh, our tent from Eb@y arrived, it looks in pretty good condition - phew! - so we'll put it up later or tomorrow to test it out :j
As for the packing, do you know what type of things you'll be doing in the evenings? Is the whole tour organised or will you have freedom around that? I guess it's the capsule wardrobe thing again, which I'm not sure I know anything about - I just end up scruffy :rotfl:

Erm, I think I may have a problem... I may have accidentally gone by the cottage again :o I made it about 300m into my dog walk before diverting towards the woods, then swinging on Tarzan vines and jumping in the streams (do you need children to be allowed to do this?:p). I am genuinely trying to present myself with reasons why it's not a good house...but I'm smitten. The garden is insanely steep but I'm sure there's something great that can be done with it, and I noticed tonight there's a good sized front garden area too :T The builder seems to be doing a sympathetic job with the building and plans to put features in that are in keeping with the property (there weren't any original features left).

Has anyone else noticed what a ridiculous time this is for me to be buying a house? :rotfl::rotfl:

Sometimes you have to investigate whether or not you can follow your dreams, or you will never know, Bails.
If I could ever get a mortgage again, I would much rather have myown then rent. But alas that is not to be for me, unless a miracle happens.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.
