    Nyk,

Can you please add Big Mumma's links to the front page of the new quarter.

I'm still lurking but not getting a chance to read all the posts. I did really love the pendant.

I got £15 cash from the National Buying survey, which I am pleased about. I was wondering if it would really turn up as I heard about it from a door to door person. But it has turned up and and in a timely fashion.

Doing YouGov surveys too. Will take time to build up, but I find them interesting.

Am trying to stop myself booking a Xmas break to Centre parcs. Price has gone up by £150 since I first thought of it! I may be moneysaving and book it for the same time next year if that will be cheaper. Or I could be more moneysaving and not book it at all. Decisions, decisions.

Normally by end Sept I have got most of our Xmas presents etc. Haven't even done a list this year. Must be the good weather. Haven't had the heating on yet in Sept and it's okay today too. DS is under a mound of duvets and blankets with an infection (but that is nothing to do with lack of heating; it's warm still down south).

Best wishes and happy smiles to you all.

  • Hi everyone, I hope the next quarter will be good for you all. Hugs to everyone who needs them xx

Taka, the pendant is amazing - I've done some bead jewellery but would love to learn how to work wih silver. I'd actaully thought about an evening class but there's so much travelling with my job that I can't guarantee to be around for the classes, which would be a bit of a waste of money!

We spent the weekend building my Dad's flat pack greenhouse, having built our own one the weekend before I never want to do another one... It's quite impressive that they can make their instructions that incomprehensible.

Bails - we're having a sit down dinner, which is by far the most expensive part of our wedding plans! We've asked for money for the honeymoon instead of gifts, I know some people don't like doing that but we really couldn't think of anything we wanted (apart from a tyre pressure gauge and a large plastic jug!). If we'd been having the reception elsewhere I'd definitely just have asked people to bring food. As it is, that means we don't have any spare money in the budget for a honeymoon, so other people's contributions will really be appreciated! Otherwise it'll be a honeymoon in Swindon...

  • Good morning everyone.

Sneaking on here whilst in the IT suite and am meant to be doing research, but never mind ;) we've been here since 9am, and I'm getting a bit bored of reading the same stuff over and over again :p

I can't decide whether today will be a nsd or not. I've got 20 nsds for the month of September, so that's amazing, and more than I've ever got before! :j but if I have some time in the afternoon I need to go into town and get some school clothes as we start placement next tuesday  Found out I'm in a school just over 50 mins drive away, so I think after tuesday I'm just gonna be shattered all the time.

I shall update again later, as I probably should get on.

    Have a good day everyone.

Hello, I passed my Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate - For Manufacturing with 93.3%. Not exactly university level studying but it's another little certificate to add to my collection (once I receive it) and it means that I'm meeting the minimum legal requirements for trading in soup and lemon curd, should anyone ask outside of our LETS group. :D I may, yet, have a little cottage industry to help in this quest for self-sufficientish living!

Whitewing, I'll add those links into this thread and then copy the whole lot over to the next one. Hope you can decide on what to do about holidays. What's your EDD for Whitewingette?

I was just wondering that too, it happened once before when the mods moved us, maybe they see it as a diary of how to live on 4k? Not sure, but they moved it back again last time without being asked, so it could just be a glitch in the system. Hope it doesn't upset any of my links. Hmm.... it does say about moving the threads HERE

Just found my last receipts for the month and it looks like I'm slowly getting the hang of working to a budget as I've only gone over by 89p. Hopefully (as everything goes on my cashback card) this will be reflected in next months savings amount as this month's were pitiful as I completely ignored the budget in August.
