Good afternoon to all.
Good luck for Tuesday, Aeb, you must be absolutely high as a kite by now but at least the element of surprise re the date of arrival has ended. Yippee! Virgo triplets!
SF, sorry to hear your news, I agree with everything that BB has said, couldn't have said it better.
Things here are rather calm, considering. The only thing that isn't calm is the weather!! All the guest arrival times have been delayed by several hours as their routes from north of Aberdeen were blocked this morning after the tremendous lashings the area took last night during the storms. Friend called first thing this morning to tell me then sis called to say it had just taken her about 90 minutes to get down into Aberdeen via the diversions. Hopefully, they are making good progress, but it's about a 6 hour drive from there to here at the best of times, so a long day for all concerned. Huge pot of soup at the ready and then I'll see who wants what as each group arrives - 2 lots from north Aberdeenshire, 1 lot coming from north of Stirling plus my parents - full house tonight, I reckon the elderflower champagne may be sampled then... DD's popping over en route to hotel where she's meeting DS and her dad & his family for dinner tonight. I just want it to be dry tomorrow. As for everything else - have wine, have voddie, have fags, friends & family, will party!
Sun is shining at the moment, best make the most of it and go rake and sweep outside and help prevent guests getting duck-pooped before they reach us! Oh, and let's not forget, we have a new chicken arriving along with one set of guests. :rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.

Nyk - Fingers crossed the weather stays dry for you and your DD tomorrow, and that all your guests arrive safely. Doubt you will be on until after the event now, but I sincerely hope the day is all your DD wants it to be and that her and her new hubby are very happy together
SF - I can only send lots of hugs to you, although I know it is no comfort. I'm sorry.
Thankyou to all who sent hugs etc, it is much appreciated. Today has not been much better, had a stand up row with one of my supervisors (100% his fault)
ANYWAY it's the weekend now _party_ :j(although I am working tomorrow, but it never really feels like 'work' on a Saturday) I am at loss as to what to do, will have to think of something quick!

Good evening,
On my way home from work today I picked some more blackberries and found two different kinds of crab apple trees in the park 5 min from our tennement. So I made my first ever jam :T. Got two 500g and two 250g jars which is more than I thought it would make. Also picked some roship but they didn't look that good in the end and I didn't really fance rowan jelly either. Maybe I'll be lucky and get some more blackberries etc.
Hope you enjoy the wedding tomorrow Nyk, here it's supposed to rain so I'm afraid the one we'll be going to will be a washout.
Aeb good luck for Tuesday.
P.S. Could anyone please tell me how to post pictures (couldn't find the post that did way back). Thank you very much.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
