Thanks for the replies everyone. I have now reported to the police and they have put it down as nuisance calls. They said if he calls once more they will escalate to harrasment. I'll make sure I come back and update you all with the outcome of the insurance.

Thank you all so much for your help. I really appreciate it.

    Make sure you claim whiplash!

I had an accident a few years back, went into the back of someone at 3 mph; she claimed whiplash to the tune of £4k!

Thankfully my premium didn't go up too much.

Gaz, even though it is technically your fault for stopping, he went into the back of you, and so the insurance company should see it as his fault. That's what happened with mine, even though it was completely the other driver's fault (for stopping for no reason - just the same as yours!), as I went into the back of her, I got the blame.

    Good luck!

Just an update to this everyone.

I reported to the police and haven't received any phone calls form him since. Not sure whether they got in touch with him or if he's really he isn't helping his case by threateing me.

His insurance still haven't admited liability but my companies insurance have reassured me that I am not to blame. I know lots of you lot said it also and for that I'm grateful :) Always nice to hear it from the horses mouth though so to speak :)
