HELP: Buying a reposessed flat, managing agent unknown

Hi all,
I would kindly ask you for advice on following:
I'm interested in buying a reposessed flat with 67 years of unexpired lease. On the property doors I found a message that managing agent is unknown to the seller. Estate agent also cannot provide more information.
As managing agent is unknown, what will happen if I purchase the property and I want to extend the lease? Will I be able to do that without knowing who managing agent/freehold owner is?
Which advice would you give me with buying that property and ensuring lease will be possible to extend after I purchase the flat if managing agent remains unknown?
Thank you in advance!

It;s the freeholder you need to know about. You don't buy a lease extension from a managing agent.
If you go knocking on some doors, you'll find out what the story is with the managing agent quite quickly. It's something you should do, especially when there's no vendor to talk to.
Hope you're getting a big discount because of that lease!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
