Holiday abroad and JSA

I have a prebooked 1 week holiday outside of the UK. I'm claiming income-based JSA. Could someone confirm if I'm understanding the process correctly?
- I would have to sign off before going abroad.
- Obviously, my benefits then stop while abroad.
- I start a new JSA claim immediately after I return to the UK.
- I should lose out on 1 week of benefits, but no more.
Have I got anything wrong there? Will I have to start a fresh claim on my return, and then wait for it to come through again?

When you return you make what is known as a "rapid"reclaim, although i`ve heard some cases recently where they werent too rapid
enjoy your holiday0 -
Thanks - I'll just view it as an extra cost to the hol, then...
Hopefully the rapid reclaim won't prove to be too far from the name, anyway.0 -

You have to make a Rapid Re-claim, as someone said. In theory, this shouldn't take long to clear, as they don't have to contact ex-employers, etc. In reality, because Benefit Centres are really busy, it may not be instant.Fokking Fokk!0
