    The whole system is flawed.

I believe that the CSA can only get money from people willing to pay. The OP's ex has clearly played the game and ensured that when an assessment was due, he was out of the country or unemployed. A truely pathetic man.

I know someone who has kids with lots of different women/girls. He's unemployed, never wants for anything (except a good beating) and pays nothing for any of his little darlings.

We need a system where you work to pay for your family or are refused ALL benefits. Rot on the streets or bring back workhouses for all I care.

lol :D I get where your coming from, even though as I type the PC brigade are hunting you down. lol. I like living in a caring society where we have a system in place for when necessary, like anyone can hit a hard time. the system unfortunately is badly abused, the bloke you know is sadly just one of many.

nothing to stop a bloke pumping out 10 kids  with 10 different women and not paying a penny.

and nothing to stop a woman spitting out 6 kids to 6 different men, double  and collecting the maintenance.

so GG, we have assessed the problems, so whats the answer? if you find one could you email it to Mr G Brown at 10 downing street london england because he'd like to know too :rotfl:

Replace housing benefit/local housing allowance with an out of town trailer park and let them get on with it.. Outsource our long term benefits claimants to Somalia where a family of four can eat for just £2 per week. Limit child benefit to the first child.

Seriously, the money has run out. The benefits system will be reformed and a lot of lazy people are going to get a big kick up their bum.

Lol. Hmmm. yes the money has been running out for a long time and now I think the day of reckoning is upon us. We got to a stage of 65 year old pensioners being unable to retire because the pot was empty, so now we have pensioners who are now in their 70s working having their contributions taken out of their wages not for pensions but to pay the 17yr old girl to spit out 2 more kids for more pensioners to pay for.

Hmmm. theory, so your claiming and you dont work, you have 1 child which the state pays for, but you get pregnant again how can the state turn round and say we are not going to pay for child number 2. what is the mother going to do. I think human rights would say its her human right to have another child. even lowing the age you can be a SAHM on benefits doesnt work because if they cant pay for child care they cant work.

Alright alright lets keep slappers out of this shall we. but GG raises an interesting point. Its our right not to pay for her child. but we dont get the choice. we do pay.

put it this way, if a person came round collecting every week from your door, five pounds per household on the street, because the woman on the end of your street has a child and doesnt work, would you be outraged? or would you happily hand over the fiver, then the week after he comes again this time saying shes having another so your contribution to her house is going up to a tenner, how would we feel?

Some people on here are working 2 jobs to stay afloat no one is helping them we have a system right now that hammers those that try and rewards those that dont bother.

btw i'm interested because I read an article on sky news about some project they did with 2 groups of teen mums, one group funded (dont know what is meant by that exactly) and the other group was not funded. the outcome was that the funded groups rate of pregnacy was doubled and the non funded group did not double.

lol. another reason I was interested, and I forgot to mention this before.

My friend visited me about 2 days ago. I never thought about this before but i'll start from the beginning ...

she got pregnant very young had the child and got a house then when the child was about 9 ish she got pregnant again, me and another friend went to visit her (you have to laugh) to see the baby, really cute, but when we left we were still on the door step when my friend said is it just me or what  have to admit it went over my head. but while we were there she had been telling us that the income or benefits office were sending her cr*ppy letters saying she had to get a job but she ended her sentance by saying 'but now i've had the baby the letters have stopped':D I missed that. my friend is a bit sharper than me lol. so my friend has 2 children now.

go back to 2 days ago, my friend visits and guess what shes pregnant again lol, quite big age gaps between the kids. I give up good luck to her. If they'll hand out the money why stop. Those family values the labour party used to bang on about there is no incentive.

the worst thing about this is that this is just one woman. x that by how many??? :D

I know somebody who's benefits were slashed when their youngest came of age. The answer was quite simple - they adopted one of their (many) grandchildren and the benefits kicked back in.

The system is ridiculous and indefensible.
