Lost Water Pressure In Bathroom

Options
When I moved into my house 2 years ago we had the airing cupboard with tank and the fire with back boiler taken out and a new pressurised system installed in the loft.

Turning on the sink or bath taps in the bathroom and the water would come out quite powerfully.
Last few days the water has been coming out painfully slow and takes an age to fill the bath compared to what it was when it was first installed. I must admit it has got gradually slower over the two years but has taken a considerable sudden drop in the last two days.

I have a Megaflo CL170HE, Ideal Icos Boiler and a Zilmet pressure thing. On this the red needle is on 1 and the grey needle is slightly below that.
Attached to the system is a Aqualisa power shower.

Any ideas what's wrong?

sounds like it only needs represurising with the filling loop id top it up just past the red needle if it keeps doing this there is probably a leak some were

If the problem is confined to your hot taps then the reason is that you have lost your air bubble in the Megaflow. These cylinders should be serviced once per year and the G3 registered installer would re-establish the air bubble.

Anyway, to get it back drain the cylinder and then refill and this should sort you out.

If you have equally poor pressure on hot and cold taps then talk to the water suppliers.

BTW, have you really got a power shower attached to an unvented system?

The Megaflow should have a sticker on the side with instructions on how to regenerate the air gap.

The Heatrae-Sadia brochure says that the Megaflow doesn't need annual servicing but there does seem to be a body of opinion that disagrees.

Good afternoon: Some manuafacturers eg. Ariston require annual servicing to maintain the warranty...someone on here recently got caught out on this point. For safety's and product performance's sake, an unvented cylinder should be checked when the RGI gives the boiler an annual service (if applicable).

Not all gas installers are qualified to inspect/service unvented cylinders....

That is why consumers should ask to a qualifications card for G3 and any gas work...my OH has a BPEC photo ID card for 'Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems' as well as his Gas Safe Register photo ID and CIPHE membership card. Potential clients rarely ask:confused: and more is the shame.
