Public naming and shaming might be a good idea and could have limited effect. It could be extended to include details of any criminal act by any citizen (searchable by postcode so we can see which of our neighbours are thieves etc.).

they all should be named and shamed publically...........abit like a crimewatch where the general public can phone in with info to help locate them and with financial info. Well we can dream can't we.

This was proposed and then dropped, and rightfully so. The CSA are so incompetent, do you for one minute think they would not name and shame individuals who did not deserve it !

It's a moot point anyway. Look at the legal status your case has and yet still nothing is being done quickly or efficiently. The CSA have more than enough powers to trace and gain financial information. It's what they then do with this information that counts.
  • An update..........

Well final commital to prision hearing date was last month and ex paid £1000 to CSA before the hearing was heard and agreed with CSA representative to £100 per month. LO was for £1329. They did not go into court once this was agreed.

Not only did the CSA not pay me the £1000 in one go but in 3 parts over 3 weeks, computer says 'no' again. It should be split so had to go to manual payments.

Now everything he is paying to the CSA is getting split between us both and I am not getting the £100 per month off the LO. The money he is paying is going against current maintenance for us both, I asked why I was not getting £100 over and above the current maintenance or why I was not paid the first £100 he paid in then split after that. I was told that he was paying enough so that I got £100 he agreed in court, but the £100 won't be coming off the LO. They cannot do anymore enforcement until he has paid £329 at £100 a month even tho it won't be reducing the LO!! Anyone following this? Do they just make the rules up as they go along?

Can anyone shed any light on this for me? It would be greatly appreciated. Also asked why they did not go into court to rubber stamp the £100 per month and was told because he had paid £1000 it wasn't worthwhile.

Am so annoyed and confused, especially since the judge had ordered him to bring his :confused:2008/09 audited accounts to court. Which the CSA rep didn't bother to take from him so they could re-assess him, he is saying he cannot afford £120 a week(btwn 2 pwcs) but has not provided any evidence of his earnings.

I feel like giving up am sick of banging my head against a brick wall, having to phone in to check that they have done what they said they would. It is a joke.

I hate the way they split payments. The payments are in arrears so why are the payments split up? 'It's the computer' they say... no, it's the way the computer has been programmed.

Also, I don't have many problems with payments, but I think it'd be nice if the Government subsidised payments (to a certain amount) from NPC's if they didn't pay up, then actively went after the money... I'm sure the full clout of the law would be used a lot more quickly then.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
