in Credit cards
Wonder if anyone has info on how Freeman's work in offering a credit account? I requested a catalogue a few weeks ago, that was sent, also the literature that came said there maybe £300 credit available.
Anway, I didn't bother I ordered and paid with my debit card.
But this Monday, me thinks oh I will order again, but ask for it to go on a credit account, I did this at about 6.30am:eek: Nothing came back no Yes or no? So I then logged in as I had a cash account with them, but there was also on the accounts login 2 accounts.
One a 'cash' account
two credit account.
But what's odd it won't let me order, not even a cash order?
When I click on the 'Credit' account link, it comes up saying sorry this is not setup.
Bit confused to be honest, they also have checked me out with Experian on Monday.
Any thoughts?

What is it about this catalogue account that appeals to you?
Wouldn't a credit card be more flexible?People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
Mainly to rebuild my history back, then maybe later on apply for a mainstream card.0

Be aware that if you recruit customers and they dont pay you for goods purchased, freemans will put a huge black mark on your credit rating.I have a deep burning indifference0

I had the same thing with me. According to freemans customer services they send that estimated £300 limit to everyone, just to tempt the customer to place an order thinking their credit account is already set up, however they do an credit check after that which can up as a decline or a may give u an account with a limit higher or lower than that !!
Same thing happened to me, they send me this letter about the estimated limit, placed an order only to get declined :mad::mad: that is when i came to know they only do the credit check during your frst order and not when you request for the catalogue. So beware !!
Also give them a call, and they will be able to tell you if the account has been set uo or declined !!
Wishinng you all the best for that and keep us updated :beer:0 -

Well, decided to ring them to clear it up and it was a decline!
But I did get last week a Choice Catalogue, the same as Littlewoods with an £800 credit limit. PLus an 18 month contract with Vodafone and a very good iphone style phone:T
Strange this credit checking!
