terrible attitude?, what are you on about?

In the context of your statement, it came across as very "ces't la view", "que sera sera", "never mind", "laissez faire", "there's nothing we can do".
accidents happen, and thats a fact

    I agree.
They even happen where very high level of effort are expended e.g. civil aviation.
It's my belief that it's impossible to prevent them 100%.
However you'd expect your airline (for exmaple) to make great efforts on your behalf (and they do).
but we cant prevent them though, can we ?

    Not 100%.
But we could prevent a lot from where we are now.
Most can be avoided by ANY party.
Note that means that it's not only the person(s) at fault that can prevent them.
Others can prevent them to by taking avoiding action.
Anyway I have no desire/need to defend my comments, to you thanks, you have taken it out of context

Well genuine apologies if I read it wrong.
It's easy for things to be misunderstood in black and white.
I have explained how it appeared to me above.

    Ok lisaloo,

My point was merely, Kev is a new driver, (first year/first car)and having an accident within 2 months is unfortunate, and that he has to gain experience from it, and not beat himself up, that’s all.

As for seeing the results of accidents, in particular RTA's, I could right a book about that, and I dont say/mean anything in a flippant context.I have seen too much too often by way of serious accidents

I could tell you all about ROSPA etc but I wont bore you with that.

    Yes sure totally agree.

As it happens I've just had a date for my ROSPA test in a couple of weeks.
In my experience it's only people that haven't done it that have pre-conceptions that think it's boring.
No-one I know that's actually done it, is bored. They are all inspired by it.

Don't cancel. Stay with the company and build a good driving record. It will help you in the long run. I had a similar run of bad luck a few years ago.

NCD is awarded after a completed year of insurance from renewal. In your example, you would have one year ncd awarded in the March following renewal the previous March.
