in Credit cards
Heres my current situation
B/Card balance =£750 @ 6.9%
Capital One balance £2500 @6.9%
I have phoned BCard to see what offers they have on at the moment hoping for 0% they can offer me 0% but only for 2 months with a 2.5% handling fee or 6.9% for life. So in paying the tranfer fee im no better off.
Capital one cannot offer me any deals as im just out of time???
My Experain credit score number is 841 which they class as fair. I have no arrears with either of these accounts and am paying way more than the minimum they ask for monthly to clear them off asap.
So my question is do I apply for another card hopefully with 0% for a period so I can transfer the Capital One over and save on interest. Is a credit score of 841 good enough for a 0% card.
I only earn £13000 a year and im lucky as my hustband pays for the household bits.
Should I not apply for a new card and give it a few months and ring Bcard back?
Or what cards search Experian and will accept a fair credit person. I will be looking at remortgaging next year so am trying not to have too many searches on my file so I would like to only apply if you really think I can get the 0% card.
Hope ive explained myself well and thanks in advance
I did think id struck gold when I saw the 0% on here till next year but thats only for new customers not us oldies!

Just a thought but what about your husband applying for a 0% card and paying off your cards with that.

i would concentrate on throwing extra cash at the outstanding balances and try and reduce them more quickly than you are at present a few months of doing this will put you in a better position and frame of mind.
I would leave the balances where they are if they are 6.9%"Life of Balance" and just incur the little bit of interest you will have to pay until it is paid off,if you transfer it to another card you will have to ensure there are no fees on the transfer or there will be little point moving to another card if you are paying £50 or more for each move.
Your credit score is okay so you should be able to get another card but the credit limit may be lower than what you are requiring.0 -
Another thought is that, if you think you can pay the balance off in full before the end of any offer period on a 0% card, and after checking there is no BT fee, it makes sense to get as much of the debt to 0% as possible.0
