I collected my game this morning from Sainsburys Hastings for £26, they had loads in stock for the PS3 and XBox360.
I could not believe how many mothers were there with their young boys/lads buying it. Surely this is an 18 rating for a reason. Those parents need their heads examining!!

I dont see a problem with the content insofar as children being exposed to computer generated men shooting each other. The game is far less graphic than the movie Saving Private Ryan which is a certificate 15.

How many 11/12 year olds have seen that?

Im 26 however and Im more concerned about the fact that most of these kids then play the game online and partake in abusive arguments with older gamers. The stuff you hear on xbox live often coming from kids who sound no older than 12/13 is horrific!!
  • Whoo! We got ours in Morrissons this morning, all sold out by lunch though as went to get another for my brother. We love it! My husband is just playing on it now, but on all of the COD's I tend to just play online.

Well lets all bow down to your superior knowledge of how to bring our children up!!! maybe it is an 18 for a reason but i'd be really concerned if any child of mine didn't have the intelligence to know the difference between a computer game and reality.

I think us parents should seriously consider not letting our children play Operation in case they think they really are capable of removing their friends hearts etc!!!!

I did have a very quick look, so apologies if its been missed.

Makro were selling the game for £20 (and the VAT of course), so £23.
  • There was no vat so it was only £20, & also no voucher needed :j

I don't think me and the OH have had a proper conversation since this was bought yesterday morning.....
Glad we got it for the £26 out of Sainsbury's though. Popped into GAME lastnight and they had literally hundreds of copies on the shelves...
