I'm in agreement with Carrie. This really wasn't Spam at all. Just a reminder as she says - Lest We Forget. Many of you (me included are far too young) to know what it was like to suffer/lose someone in the War, but I do think it is very important that we don't forget. Dont lose your humility folks

I agree with what you're saying, but huge red text and multiple posts does make it spam, imo.

Anybody with an ounce of sense is away of what a good cause it is donating. Nobody needs it ramming down their throats though...
  • Bought a copy from my local Morrisons store, they had ordered over 100 in for today, about 30 left. Great deal though, for £25.99, rather than the lovely £44.99 from GAME.

    • Its not SPAM - If I can provoke the conscience of 1 person to donate any amount the post is not wasted.
    • There seems to be a lot of angry replies - speaks volumes
    • I have also email’d Activision - email read, awaiting reply.
AND the TV is still working fine, I agree there is nothing wrong with a bargain - if your conscience is clear
IMO it is SPAM....there is a time, place and way to post charity requests!!

Did you donate the true value of the TV to your chosen charity (£50) which is what you are asking (demanding) others to do??

    Yes it IS spam.

I can't see any angry replies.

And you have emailed Activision for what exactly?

Why don't you sell your PC or laptop and forgo your internet bill and donate that to the cause. ;)

There is nothing worse than people or companies DEMANDING you do this and that. It won't earn any brownie points and will actually deter people from donating, so put a sock in it, eh?

Many of you (me included are far too young) maybe haven't been directly affected by losing someone in the War, but I do think it is very important that we don't forget. Dont lose your humility folks

I am all for charity and i do give cash to several charitys during the course of the year, donate all mine and my children clothes, toys, books etc to our local womans refuge and local charity shops, do 4 Christmas boxes for shoebox operation and 4 more shoeboxes for the forces each year.

BUT one post fair enough but to keep posting in caps and big red letters several times in 1 thread is spamming and trying to provoke a reaction :o

If you feel that strongly go and post in the charity board, this is a grabbit board and Carries post are not relevant to this board.

Yes I have also 'rattled the tin' outside Sainsburys and will be there tomorrow. (11-11-09)

    Thanks Carrie.

    Thanks Carrie.

It wasn't thought provoking though and the point you wanted to make just comes across as out of place and spammy. If the game sickens you, why are you even in this thread?
