Balance Transfer hasn't come off the card yet

I put a balance transfer through onto my IF credit card, now the balance has been added to that card but is still showing up on the card I transferred it from. I thought once it was one card the balance would come off the other card on the same day? I emailed IF earlier but no response yet. I am 99.99% sure I gave the correct details of the card they had to transfer the balance from, any ideas what the problem could be?

There probably isn't a problem. When did it come through? if it was just today or yesterday it may take a couple of days to show like all transactions on a credit card otherwise just contact the original bank that the balance was on and they will let you know if it has been tranferred. If it is a mistake on the entry of the details then it is almost zero chance of entering someone elses account for you to transfer a balance from so I wouldn't really worry about that.

Thanks for your reply. The new balance showed up on my IF card yesterday so I'll just leave it for a couple of days and hopefully it will clear itself up. Just a wee bit of a concern!

I'd only be worried if your interest free ends in the next couple of days in which case you may want to phone the original card company and make sure that its all going to be done and you won't be charged interest.

Balance transfers are in fact usual BACS money transfers that take about 3 working days.
