JulieP - you weren't seeing things, it did mention a remote. Like you say, it doesn't now. Rather annoying.

Is it any good though? Mine is being delivered on Wednesday.

Yes, this is good at cooling down the room. It is very heavy though - we had to carry it up 2 flights of stairs as it is being used in our loft bedroom. The downside of it not having a remote is that in the early hours of the morning, when it sometimes cools the room down too much, you have to get out of bed to turn it off (not ideal when you just want to go back to sleep).

    Hope that helps.

Is this a unit that you just plug in and use or is venting required?
  • For those asking about deliveries, ordered 2 on the 1st July that have just been delivered (14th July).

Yet to open them but they look HUGE!!!

Mine arrived this morning but it's defective.
Warning light came on first time it was powered up to indicate water tank was full. Never been used though.
Will work for maybe 10 secs then stops again.
I reckon it's a faulty sensor. Will get on to Argos to arrange a replacement.

Their is 3 settings on this unit, cool, fan and de-humidify, you need to vent for both cool and de-humidify, but fan does not need to be vented. Hope this helps.

But can be collected from store, where available.
