Another British Gas nightmare

No bill sent , only phone calls saying we owe a large amount of money for Electric used at a premises we left 3 years ago, have spoke to them on several occasions and were told that the current occupiers were liable, abit confused , now again phone calls , its never ending, who do you turn to to stop being harrased ! It seems that one department does not communicate with the other.
