Debit Card Protection

Hi,

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right section but I've had a quick look through and can't find anything that answers my question.

If I have paid for something by debit card but was overdrawn at the time of making the purchase am I able to claim the money back from my bank?

I was only overdrawn at the time of paying the deposit and was in credit when I paid the final balance. If anybody can give me any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jemma

I'm not entirely sure the circumstances surrounding this question, but if you have bought something on a debit card then you cannot claim back money simply because you were overdrawn.

If you mean are you covered by Section 75 of the Consumer credit act the answer is no.
