Thanks for the advice....my local quikco centre has the ford official battery for £59 and a aftermarket one for £35..reckon its worth forking out an extra £24 to get the ford one?
what kind of warrenty is with the after market battery? if the aftermarket battery fits the tray ok then i would use the after market one.
also have you tried halfords? get a trade card and then get a battery from there, it will be roughly the same price as your after market one from the local motor factors and generally speaking halfords batteries are pretty good....work permit granted!0 -
Hi,
I went for the Ford Silver Calcium one in the end as I had never heard of the brand of the cheaper aftermarket one. The aftermarket one was also slightly bigger so didnt want to take the risk of it not fitting on the tray. The Ford comes with 3 year warranty. The aftermarket came with 2 years warranty.
