How can i sell on Amazon as I am 16 and have no Debit Card

Hi!

Basically i've got a problem. I've finished exams so have lots of textbooks and revision guides to sell and would really like to start selling on Amazon. However, i am only 16 and therefore own a Debit Card and not a Credit Card

What alternatives do i have? And just so that you know, i can't use my parents credit card for private reasons

Thanks

car boot sale maybes? they are fun and its a good way of not just getting rid of your old textbooks but other clutter in your room.

Also look out for book fairs near you.

But remeber you will probably have to pay to set up a stall so in the end it may not be worth it and it may be better jsut to donate them to a charity.

I sold some old exam books for a £1 each you won't get much for them as people don't want to pay the money regardless of how new they look.

I signed up with a debit card - you don't need a credit card

if you dont have a debit card you can request one from your bank, i'm sure you only have to be 16 for a debit card or get a prepaid one.

pre-paid debit cards do charge small fees for using them but are safer for use online as they are not linked directly to your bank funds or any credit facility so if they fall into the wrong hands they won't get much.

Not suggesting he uses their cards, but uses their Amazon account. If it's a one-off situation , I'm sure they wouldnt mind.

As far as I am aware as OP is under 18, no online trading site will allow him to open an account.

Same as with Home Shopping catalogue accounts, etc.

Sorry but you need to be 18 to sell on Amazon and according to the seller boards you are now required to have a credit card purely so your age is proved, and due to the age thing pre paid cards are not accepted.

Ok sorry for the title, i typed it wrong, meant to say credit card. I do have a debit card but dont have a credit card. Heres a copy of their email saying why i can't use a debit card and its not because of my age:

"Please know that it is necessary to have a valid credit card in order to register as a seller on our website. You may use the following types of credit cards: Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

We request this information for identity and security reasons and to charge your card in case you ever have more seller fees or refunds than sales made.

I'm sorry that we are not able to accept debit cards at this moment in time, and I hope that you will be able to find a means of registering via a credit card. Please know that you may continue to use a debit card to make purchases on our website."

So debit cards can be used for buying but no for selling :(
