Hi
We have a lot of the old VHS pre recorded tapes that we would like to transfer to DVD. We have an Ikasu Video grapper and wonder is it possable to conect that to the video player then the other end to a PC {Vista} and download the tape to the hard drive then burn the info to a DVD for use in a DVD player??
This is only for our own use {iWe do respect the copyright laws} but as tapes can {and do stretch or tangle} we would like to replace music videos ect to a format that will last for many more years
Thanks in advance for any replies

Isn't that what the video grabber is for? This is only for our own use {iWe do respect the copyright laws} but as tapes can {and do stretch or tangle} we would like to replace music videos ect to a format that will last for many more years

Personally, I would say don't bother. The quality won't be very good, and old movies can be had on DVD dirt cheap on eBay. It's not worth the time and effort involved, unless you're taking about family movies or something.0
