How long for Egg to post BT fee?

Got my Egg Card (green) two months ago and immediately SBT'd as much as I could, and was charged a £50 fee - fair enough.

Then my MacMillan card came through and I muled it via Egg. The SBT went through on 24 March but there's still no fee showing when I check my transactions. Can't see how I could have got out of that one on the T&C's as it's still introductary period and therefore the £50 fee should be levied. Anyone else have any experience of Egg being really slow to post the fee, or are they not charging me a fee for some weird reason?

Yes, I know I should get Egg Money, but was declined for that one!

Perhaps it's only applied at the statement date - is that what happened when you did the first BT to Egg then? (You can't tell any longer whether it would have appeared on the 'recent transactions' at the time of that first BT now, of course*, because that month is now 'closed'.)

I'd expect (no experience of fees with Egg) that the statement is when it should fisrt appear - the reasoning being that not all BTs are covered by fees and they only show the interest rate (eg '0.00') against a transaction once a statement has been produced IME

*Yes you can - look to see if the date on that previous fee matches the date of transfer or has another - later - date on it.

Mmm, that did cross my mind but I recall the fee coming up as a recent transaction for the first BT at the same time as the BT amount showed, which is why the question was raised in my mind. Unfortunately the egg website's down (again!) at the mo so can't check but am 99% sure they are either same date or next day. I'm sure it did show right away as it was my first experience with egg and I would have been concerned had the fee I was expecting not appeared pretty quickly (just in case it was higher or something awful).

You're right in that the "0.00%" message didn't come up until the statement last time.

Doesn't really matter of course, will just have to wait a while for the statement, though it will be nice to have £50 extra profit if they're not going to charge me! But I can't for the life of me think of any reason why they wouldn't...

Anyone else not had a BT fee on a second SBT/mule during an introductary period?
