currently i am getting JSA. if i get a job which is less than 16 hours a week, will this affect my job seeker allowance?

While on JSA you may only legitimately earn £5 before it affects your benefit. However, for any hours up to 30 hrs per week, you can ask for an in-work benefit calculation whereby the jobcentre will tell you what you can claim in respect of the hours and wages you will be earning. They calculate things like travel exes, NI, tax, council tax etc. Speak to your advisor at the jobcentre.0
