Windows Messenger/Msn Messenger/ Outlook Express!

Although I've had a lot of recent problems with Aol, I have to say they're very easy to use as they are an all in one kind of package.

Got rid of them though when I got broadband and now I'm having to use Explorer and Outlook. When I reformatted and reinstalled Windows, messenger was installed too and I've now downloaded Msn Messenger and now I've got 2 progs that are basically the same!

There doesn't seem to be an uninstall option for Windows Messenger either. :-/

Outlook is a pain in the bum too as I can configure it for for my principal email account but not for other accounts.

Why on earth are things so difficult?! I'm going to be software developer in my next life and make progs that have very simple step by step instructions for folk like me!

I shall just speak to people on her that I can send pms to I think, and ignore the rest of the world!.

Off to put the Xmas wine in the fridge to chill as I'm sure I will need it later! Grrrrr!

Thank you, I feel better now. ;) ;D

  • Windows messenger is a pain in the backside. Hubby is a software programmer and I am a support analyst so we use computers all the time and it took us ages to get rid of it. It just kept popping up - seemed to have a mind of its own, even when we had supposedly uninstalled it!

Only got rid of it in the end by editing the registry, but its not something I suggest you do.

    I sympathise with you totally!

Oh well Das, if you had problems considering how informed you must be..........I guess I will just learn to live with it.

I'm sure there's some saying or other about learning to love thine enemy. Although I have to say, the enemy doesn't look nearly as bad after a few glasses. ;D

    Nice to save.
  • Getting rid of Windows Messenger is an easy operation, I do it every time after I have restored my computer with my back-up discs. My computer is very user friendly. 1a_y_wink.gif
