Self catering, anyone recommend where we could go

Ive just heard martin say self catering is the way to go for a holiday, anyone recommend where i could go for say 7 days, 3 people, italy, spain, france would be fine, i tihnk flying is the best way so best airports are bristol, east midlands, maybe cardiff at a stretch,

I've found that websites for accommodation that are linked to local tourism websites in the place you want to go to can offer good value.
How many meals do you want to have in the accommodation?

fly from Bristol to Beziers in the south of France, and a short transfer takes you to Residence Berges du Canal, a self catering complex on the banks of the Canal du Midi. Lovely location amongst the vineyards with lots of sightseeing in the area
